libya colonel muammar gaddafi nearly gone? looks like the end is near for the libyan dictator after 42 years as there leader?, but still not quite there either.

on the news they keep saying gaddafi is gone, yet still not yet, the rebels have taken control of colonel gaddafi compound in tripoli, yet gaddafi had fled with some of his loyalist soldiers to put up his final stand really.

times do look bleak for mr gaddafi after being the leader of libya for 42 years, which is a tremendous amount of time for a leader to be in power over a country, this is because gaddafi took control of libya at a very young age.

did you know a interesting fact?, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has a all female bodyguard, i think around 300 female bodyguards protected gaddafi at all times, for his years in power and leader of libya.

Where is Colonel Muammar Gaddafi?

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi has been broadcasting defiant audio messages since rebels moved in on Tripoli but a mystery remains over his whereabouts.

The AFP news agency quoted diplomatic sources earlier on Monday saying that Gaddafi was "very likely" to be still holed up in his compound in the capital.

Alternative theories are that he has already fled Libya.

A rebel spokesman in London said that Gaddafi has already left the country for Algeria, although that claim remains unproven.

this is the big question at the moment on just whereabouts is Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, options being that he might have fled libya into asylum into another country could be very possible.

interesting to look at some of the buildings the gaddafi family have left beind and also what about gaddafi's billions?.

Libyan rebel fighters and their families got a first hand view of the luxurious apartments of fugitive Muammar Gaddafi's daughter Aisha at his compound in Tripoli.
