with the rise and rise of social media, it looks like people are getting quite integrated with there machines and software, though facebook's appeal is in its simplicity and plain pages, will in the future as technology and internet speeds get faster and more advanced, will the facebook look and style change as well.
i could see a possibility that websites like facebook and imvu or "i envy you" integrate with each other to give a more personalised user experience.
some of these facebook and imvu style websites appear as a kind of fantasy escapism from real life or the real world.
but, at the moment this possibility seems a long way off, for facebook to merge with any kind of websites or change its style just yet.
